T-Mobile Data Breach

T- Mobile has had another serious data breach.

T-Mobile (TMUS) is a large telecom company with over 80 million users .The breach, which was August 15 2021, is one of at least four to hit the mobile carrier since 2015.  Proving that a Data Breach can happen to almost anyone at anytime. The bigger the target, the more vigilant you need to be.

How many users have been affected by the breach?

Over 50 million of current, former, prospective and current T-Mobile  customers’ have been affected by a data breach.  The personal information that may have been hacked includes’ names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers.

Why should you care?

If you have business relationship with T-Mobile, or you are a T-Mobile customer… then you likely already care about your personal information being compromised.

If you are not, this situation highlights the importance of having a plan for Data Breaches. And following that plan you need to utilize and IT partner who can be on top of protecting your most valuable information.
