The vulnerability has resulted in numerous exploit attempts, with 134 million recorded as of December 2022. Most of the attacks have occurred in the past four months, originating from the US, Vietnam, Russia, The Netherlands, France, Germany, and Luxembourg.

Organizations specifically targeted

Close to 50% of the attacks originated from the U.S. and 95% of the attacks from Russia targeted organizations in Australia. These exploiters often target infrastructure, which is seen as a lucrative and disruptive prospect.
