Software Programmer Career in Edmonton

Working directly with our clients, Britec’s Programmer Analyst II develops, maintains, modifies and troubleshoots custom applications. These applications are main-stream for our customers.  As a member of the development team you will focus on delivering and supporting CRM product customizations.

The Developer in this position is responsible for interpreting client needs, developing design goals, prototypes and chartering projects.  Drawing on a broad range of skills and experience, our Developer will find creative paths to practical solutions within time and schedule constraints.

Summary of essential job functions:

  • Consult with clients regarding the development of CRM product customizations and enhancements
  • Analyze, develop, and implement solutions for customer requests based on technical, operational and economic considerations
  • Actively participate in all aspects of the SDLC
  • Plan, design, construct, deploy, support, document, test, troubleshoot, new and existing CRM product customizations
  • Maintains documentation, ensuring it is current and accessible and provide training to users as required
  • Collaborates with other service lines on integrated solutions
  • Travel to client and prospect sites, as necessary
  • Accurately estimate time required for, and record time spent on, support and project work
  • Provide progress updates on work completed and work to be completed as well as long range goals and plans of the client

Qualifications Required:

  • Completion of a degree or diploma from a recognized Institute of Technology or University program in an appropriate specialty such as Computing Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development. Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, Apache
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in VB .Net, ASP .Net, HTML, SQL, JavaScript
  • Ability to write user documentation
  • Strong ability to design and produce “attractive” applications with similar code
