Microsoft Windows Server 2012 & R2 End of Life

Windows Server 2012 End Of Life, means the end of extended security support and the end of compliance.

We have launched a new article on this issue, here.

Servers E.O.L

The end of an era is happening and Microsoft is bringing their Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 and SQL Servers to their end of life.
By October 10th 2023 the Extended Security Updates will end.

Microsoft backs each server version with a minimum of 10 years of support (five years for Mainstream Support and five years for Extended Support) which includes regular Security updates.  Now, Microsoft is ending the life of the Windows Server 2012 & 2012 R2.

Expiring Support

When support updates are no longer available, the Windows server will become out of date leaving it vulnerable to corruption, glitches, hacking and disaster.  This will leave Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 in a state of vulnerability & Non-Compliance, which may affect business “loss or interruption” insurance.
